How Adi Shakti Created Everything

Millions of years ago, when time did not exist, neither was there light nor was this entire world, then only one thing existed – the Supreme Consciousness, which was both formless and attributeless. A power that had no beginning and no end. This was Adi Parashakti, the Supreme Primodial Power that is the cause of everything that ever was or ever will be. For millions of years, she was alone. A perfect and complete reality. But amidst that perfect stillness, a small desire was born. A desire that would give birth to gods, galaxies and the entire fabric of life. Today in this video we are going to tell how this world was created by a small wish of that supreme power and how the Trinity and the Tridevi came into existence. This journey is going to be really long. She has been described as the ultimate truth in ancient scriptures like the Devi Bhagavata Purana. The source from which everything comes. He is also Nirgun, meaning he has no form and is beyond our understanding, and Sagun, meaning he is the source from where every form and quality of the universe comes. Think of them as a limitless ocean of pure potential. In his formless state he is like that calm and still water. But they have the power to become every wave and every drop of the cosmos. In this initial state it was pure consciousness. Origin of Energy, Matter and Life. The Puranas say that she is the Divine Feminine who existed before the concept of time. She is the Cosmic Mother and in Shaktism even Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are seen as her cosmic agents. The tools she uses to accomplish her divine will. Basically she is the power that gives all other deities their power. Before creation, it simply existed. A complete and absolute truth. There was no one else there. There was no one to see them and nothing for them to see. This universe of ours, all these stars and life, was just a sleepy thought in His infinite mind. She was a silent seed who had countless galaxies in her hair, the sun and the moon in her eyes and the entire existence in her being. But this perfect and singular unity was about to change. In that infinite silence, a slight movement, a slow echo was about to begin. The Universe was waiting to take its first breath. For countless ages, so many years that they cannot be counted. Adi Parashakti was in a state of deep meditative stillness. But in the heart of all that potential, a single thought arose. A desire. This was not a desire that arose from a lack because it was already complete. This desire was born from his perfection. A desire to express the infinity hidden within him. In the scriptures it is called His divine play or leela. The One now wanted to be The Many. She wanted to see her own glory in a dazzling explosion of forms, experiences, and beings. This was that cosmic spark, a subtle yet world-changing impulse. The Devi Bhagavata Purana tells how from her absolute formless state she decided to become manifest. This first desire was not a loud command but a flower blooming softly. As if a bud has blossomed in some infinite darkness. This was the moment when the Unmanifest decided to become Manifest. The concept of Universe was truly born there. That calm ocean of consciousness now began to vibrate and with this first cosmic hum, creation began. Can you imagine the power of that moment? Just one thought of an infinite being so powerful that it brought into existence everything that exists today. This desire sent a wave through the void. It was this Divine Impulse that began to divide His Oneness into the dynamic forces that would later shape this Cosmos. Light and darkness, sound and silence, movement and stillness. To create this Universe, Adi Parashakti first had to split his boundless energy into the building blocks of reality. To create an orderly universe, Adi Parashakti knew that she needed a balance between the different forces. Imagine if the universe was filled with only turbulent energy, it would burn itself to ashes. If there were only silence, life would never have begun. And if there was only harmony, there would be no way for change or development. Therefore, from His single unbroken power, He gave birth to the three basic qualities which we call Gunas. These three threads are Satva, Rajas and Tamas. These are the main forces of nature that are present in everything. From a small atom to the biggest galaxies. Tamas comes first. It is the quality of inertia, darkness and stability. It is the power of stasis and also the same destruction that destroys old things and makes room for new things. Tamas is like a steady canvas on which the entire creation can be painted. Without Tamas this universe would be just a storm of energy with no form or shape. Then comes Rajas. It is the quality of dynamism, passion and movement. It is this dynamic energy that gives birth to change, creation and ambition. It is this desire that fuels karma and moves the Universe forward. Without Rajas, this universe would remain a static and lifeless void. It is the real engine of creation’s activity. And finally comes Satva. It is the quality of purity, harmony and wisdom. Sattva represents balance, clarity and light. It is this stillness that gives us understanding and maintains order between the hustle and bustle of Rajas and the silence of Tamas. Without Satva, this universe would remain just a meaningless conflict of birth and death. From the element of Tamas Guna which is the power of darkness, stability and time. The first great goddess appeared. She was Mahakali. The Great Kali, a living embodiment of the primal energy of creation and the immense power of transformation, emerged from the deepest and darkest part of the existence of the Adi Parashakti. But remember, it was not a power of evil but a fundamental power of change i.e. transformation. He himself is time. The unstoppable force that brings everything to an end to make room for new beginnings. Mahakali represents the unbridled power of the universe that no one can control. Her deep black color symbolizes the formless nothingness from which she came. He is the power of destruction. The force that dissolves the entire universe back into nothingness at the end of each cycle. In Shakta traditions he is considered a fierce protector. The warrior form of the Mother Goddess who destroys evil and ignorance. His coming into the void was the first great explosion of the divine form. He is the embodiment of the transforming power of the Adi Parashakti. Admittedly, his appearance may seem intimidating. Garland of skulls around the neck and weapons in the hands. But all this symbolizes the cutting away of human ego and illusion. It’s midnight. Time is the womb that gives birth to everything and also swallows everything. His appearance was necessary because without the power of destruction the cycle of creation can never be completed. Mahakali is the raw energy of the Adi Parashakti that clears the stage for this great drama of creation. When the foundation of Tamas was ready, Adi Parashakti manifested the next Goddess from Rajas Guna, i.e. the power of activity and energy. From this cosmic fire was born the glorious Goddess Mahalakshmi. If Mahakali was the darkness of nothingness, Mahalakshmi was the shining light of the first dawn of creation. That is embodiment. Preservation, prosperity and everything that is auspicious. She represents the life force of the universe. The power that nourishes the entire universe. Mahalakshmi is the active power of the Adi Parashakti that creates things. She is not just the goddess of material wealth but of all kinds of prosperity. Be it fame, happiness or spiritual fulfillment. His radiance is the energy that fills the entire universe. She is often depicted in a very beautiful form, seated on a lotus, symbolizing divine truth and purity, rising above this messy material world. His hands bless and promise good fortune, showing that He is the foundation of all. His arrival brought a great deal of balance to the new universe. Where Mahakali was the power of destruction, Mahalakshmi came as the power of maintenance. She is the cosmic force that ensures that the universe thrives. May life flourish and dignity be maintained. She is the energy of light and fertility. The Divine Provider who gives creation everything it needs. Without them, this universe would remain just an endless cycle of birth and death. Where there is no room for stability or growth. Mahalakshmi is the shining heart of the universe, the embodiment of the Adi Parashakti’s desire to love her creation. Finally, from the purest of the three gunas, i.e. Satvaguna, Adi Parashakti manifested the third great goddess. She was Mahasaraswati. The embodiment of knowledge, wisdom, art and music. If Mahakali was the power of time and Mahalakshmi was the power of preservation, then Mahasaraswati was the consciousness and intelligence of this universe. She represents the Divine Wisdom that gives form and meaning to this universe. Mahasaraswati is often depicted in pure white color which symbolizes the purity of true knowledge. In his hands are the sacred texts, the Vedas, which are said to have been born from his divine breath. He has a veena in his other hand. An instrument that reflects the harmony of the universe, rhythms and the arts that uplift our souls. His vehicle is a swan which is said to be able to separate milk from water, symbolizing the power of human intellect to distinguish between truth and falsehood. With his birth the original Trinity of Divine Energy was completed. Mahasaraswati represents the power of creation in its most refined form. That means not just making something but having an intelligent design behind it. He is the source of every language, science and creative expression. Without them, the universe would be a chaotic mass of energy and matter, with no order, no meaning, and no beauty. She is the same cosmic intelligence that governs everything from the laws of physics to the motions of the planets. With the advent of Mahakali the Power to Transform, Mahalakshmi the Power to Sustain and Mahasaraswati the Power to Create with Wisdom, the primary forces of the universe were finally set. The Adi Parashakti had successfully divided her infinite form into three powers that were to rule over the entire existence. When the three great goddesses Mahashaktis had manifested, the next task of Adi Parashakti was to create their masculine counter parts. These were the great divine forms that became the medium for manifesting the infinite power of the Goddess in the creation. And thus they gave birth to the Trinity. Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver and Shiva the Destroyer. In the Shaktism tradition, this great deity is not the real source of power itself. Instead they are the first and most important manifestations of the Supreme Goddess. Who have been created to complete his divine play. According to Devi Bhagavatam, the Goddess, as the Queen of the Universe, called the three gods before her and assigned them their tasks. Brahma was given the task of creation. He was to be the cosmic architect who would use the creative intelligence of the Universe to create worlds and bring them to life. Vishnu got the role of preservation. They will maintain the cosmic order. Will protect Dharma and keep the Universe running its long cycle. Shiva was given the role of transformation. Which we often call destruction. They will dissolve the universe at the end of every era. By eliminating old things, we will make way for new creations. But when he stood before the great goddess he realized that he was alone and powerless. He had full potential but he did not have the power i.e. divine energy which is required for such big works. Brahma without knowing how to create. Couldn’t make anything. Vishnu could not sustain or preserve life without resources, and Shiva could not transform without the power to bring about change. They were all incomplete without the goddess. Seeing his dilemma, Adi Parashakti smiled. This was the last and most essential step in setting up the cosmic order. Masculine principles of pure consciousness had to unite with feminine principles of active energy. It was necessary to switch on his potential. As the scriptures say, Shiva is incomplete without Shakti. Without them they are corpses. A lifeless body. This applies to all gods. Divine Feminine Energy is the power that makes every kind of Divine action possible. Therefore Adi Parashakti ordered the three great goddesses to meet with the three gods. So that it becomes not just his concerts but his inner power. Mahasaraswati, who is the form of knowledge, became Brahma’s consort Saraswati. He gave Brahma the divine wisdom and creative intelligence needed to engineer the universe. Without them, Brahma’s creativity would have been aimless but with them he became the master creator. Mahalakshmi, the embodiment of Abundance, became Vishnu’s consort Lakshmi. He gave Vishnu the wealth and resources needed to preserve and sustain the cosmos. It is his energy that ensures that life can flourish under the protection of Vishnu. Without him the desire to preserve would have been an empty promise but with him he became the great preserver and Mahakali, the form of the primal power, manifested as Shiva’s consort Parvati. As Parvati she is a gentle mother goddess. But she has within her all the fierce and transformative power of Mahakali which she can unleash as Durga or Kali to destroy evil. She is the same energy that fuels Shiva’s cosmic dance of destruction and recreation. Without them he would have been a motionless ascetic, but with them he became a great transformer. This Divine Union completed the cosmic circuit. Saraswati, Lakshmi and Parvati had now become the inseparable powers of the Trinity. She wasn’t just a secondary partner, but the true source of the gods’ power. The dynamic energy that enabled the Trinity to do their cosmic work. Now the Universe was fully powered and ready to be born. When this divine couple was formed, the engine of the universe started moving. As the primary manifestations of the Adi Parashakti, the Tridevis now assumed their distinct yet interconnected roles to keep the universe’s never-ending cycle going. Saraswati’s knowledge fuels creation. The blessings of Lakshmi sustain it and the power of Parvati transform it. So that this cosmic cycle continues forever. They are not just three different goddesses but three faces of the same Supreme Goddess Adi Parashakti who perform her main cosmic functions. From an empty silence to this universe full of life, the creation of the Tridevis is a divine play of the Supreme Power. This reveals a major truth of Hindu cosmology that this entire existence is a manifestation of the same Supreme Divine Mother. Saraswati, Lakshmi and Parvati are not just goddesses to be worshipped. They are different aspects of the cosmic system of creation, preservation and transformation. They show us that behind Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva stands the real power i.e. Shakti which gives them the power to work. In Shaktism, that is the ultimate reality. There is a source and a source for everything. Tridevis is her first and main form. The great mothers who weave this whole cosmos. His story is a reminder that from the darkest darkness came the brightest light. From a still silence began this cosmic dance and from a single will this infinite and beautiful universe was born. All are one and all are from Him.
