The celebration cost about 60 million dollars and could be one of the most beautiful in history, but one fact spoiled everything. The bride was crying and looked miserable. She said she was crying with happiness, but it wasn’t true. She was upset because she found out about her husband’s many illegitimate children. Almost 20 years ago, Prince Albert of Monaco had an affair with a flight attendant, and today their son is 19 years old. For eight centuries, the Grimaldi family ruled in Monaco. According to an old legend, a witch cursed this family, and now none of them are happily married. In 1956, Prince Rainier III of Monaco married American actress Grace Kelly. They had three children, among them their only son, Prince Albert. But in 1982, the former actress tragically died in a car accident. Albert always dreamed that his future wife would be like his mother, but he was in no hurry to get married. He had many love relationships with models, actresses, and ordinary women. That’s why the press called him a playboy. Only at the age of 52 did Prince Albert decide to settle down. In 2010, he announced his engagement to South African swimmer Charlene Wittstock. She was young, beautiful, tall, and athletic. This woman really looked like his mother and could give birth to heirs. Charlene knew that Albert had two illegitimate kids whom he recognized. However, these children were not entitled to the throne. In 2011, the prince and the athlete got married, but Charlene didn’t look happy. She cried a lot, and the press immediately wrote that the reason for this was the numerous adulteries of Albert. The prince really always loved beautiful women. In 1997, he met flight attendant Nicole Coste while flying from Nice to Paris.

A French woman of African descent charmed the Prince of Monaco. They dated for five years until the moment when, in 2003, their son Alexandre was born. Albert didn’t want to recognize this baby, however, he was forced to do so after the mother of his child told Paris Match magazine about the love affair with the prince at the time. She claimed that he had not fulfilled his promise to register as the boy’s dad. Just two weeks after his father Prince Rainier III died in 2005, Prince Albert II officially recognized the paternity of the 19-month-old boy. Alexandre is the firstborn of the Prince of Monaco, but he cannot claim the throne. Its constitution, which was amended in 2002, states that only direct and legitimate descendants can rule the principality. According to law, a child of the reigning prince born out of wedlock may only inherit the throne if he weds the child’s mother. Therefore, no matter how many legitimate children the Prince of Monaco has, only his children from Princess Charlene, the twins, can be heirs to the throne. So, Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste has no official title and function, but the teenager has the same inheritance rights to Prince Albert’s billion-dollar fortune as any of his other siblings. It makes him in line to become very wealthy. In an interview Nicole gave to Paris Match, she said her relationship with Albert had been built on trust. She added that he honored his commitment to be present from the start of Alexandre’s life, gradually bringing him into his family.

Before the wedding of Albert and Charlene, Nicole acted provocatively and walked the streets of Monaco with her son. In an interview with the reporters, she stated that she no longer wants to keep their son a secret. She also said that people in Monaco love her more than Charlene. There were rumors in the press that the relationship between Albert and Nicole has resumed because she sometimes appears at the official receptions of the Prince of Monaco. This is allegedly the cause of Charlene’s depression. This situation brought her so many tears. For 18 years, Prince Albert and Nicole Coste tried not to show their son, but when the teenager turned 18, everything changed. During an interview with Paris Match in 2021, Nicole Coste explained that she was ready to see her son be more in the light. Mom proudly said that her son found a passion for fashion. He balances his studies with some modeling gigs on the side, having been recruited by an agency for advertising campaigns. She is also glad that father and son have a good relationship. When they meet, they play sports together and talk about politics. Albert gave his son a cool 18th birthday party at the legendary club of Monaco. He is a very nice kid, I must say. Alexandre isn’t the only child Albert has fathered, and before he got together with Princess Charlene, he also had a daughter, Jazmin, with American waitress Tamara Rotolo in 1992. Alexandre communicates with her.

As for his younger half-siblings, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, Grimaldi-Coste reportedly plays with them whenever he sees them. But this was not at all the reason why Princess Charlene looked depressed throughout her married life. In December 2020, a Brazilian woman filed a paternity suit against Albert, claiming that he had fathered a child with her during his relationship with Charlene. Albert’s lawyer described the claim as a hoax. Princess Charlene sometimes disappears from public life for a long time. There were rumors about the impending divorce of the Prince of Monaco.
