Sebastian’s dad, Seth Rogers: Justifiable anger but pointed in the wrong direction

Good morning everyone. My name is Michelle. I hope you’re doing well. Welcome to another video. It is Monday morning, the 20th of July, and we are going to Hendersonville in Tennessee today to the case of the missing then 15year-old Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers who was reported missing around 6:30 a.m.

by his mother and his stepfather on the 26th of February, 2024. It’s almost 2 and 1/2 years that Sebastian has been missing. The case is an absolute circus. But his dad, his biological father, Seth Rogers, a few days ago filed two federal lawsuits. one against the SA County Sheriff’s Office for failure to search for Sebastian and a bunch of other stuff and another against the Department of Children’s Services or DCS, which is the Child Protection Services, that’s what it’s called in Tennessee, for failing to basically keep him informed amidst a

couple of investigations that they did. All of that said, what we’re going to do in this video is concentrate on the case against the sheriff’s office and we’re going to catch up on a lot of stuff that has been said in the last few days. So, let’s go. Before we get into Sebastian’s case, I just want to highlight that Parker, the 11year-old from Calgary, is still missing.

I did a video about Parker’s case yesterday, so go and check that out if you didn’t see it. But if you’re interested in Sebastian’s case, you may also be interested in Parker’s case because Parker is neurode divergent. Like Sebastian, he has learning challenges and he functions at a much lower level than his chronological age of 11 years.

He was at his day home late Thursday morning. So this would have been the 16th of July. He went missing. He just know he just got out and went missing. and he is seen on CCTV about maybe 50 minutes walk away, but there’s a huge search. I mean, a huge effort. The cops have pulled out all the stops. They’re driving around playing Disney songs because they are Parker’s favorite.

And there’s a lot of community searches going on for Parker and he is still missing. So, please go and check out my video from yesterday if you want to know the basics of the case. The cops did another update yesterday. Basically, they haven’t found him and just some of the things that they’re continuing to do.

But yeah, Parker, 11 years old, he needs to be found. So, if you’re in Calgary or in the surrounding areas, then please, please, please check your own properties and call 911 if you see him. Don’t approach him. He’s nonverbal because it will freak him out and he he may run. But the advice is call 911 and maybe shadow him from, you know, a decent distance so you don’t spook him.

And um lots of people are leaving water out and food and blankets. So, if you’re in Calgary, please, please look out for Parker and call in any sightings. Check your dash cam footage. Check surveillance video. Check your property under items. He’s very small. He’s only 4’11, so it can get into very small spaces.

Just check everywhere that you can. It’s just a desperate situation at the moment for Parker. So, with that said, let’s get now on to Sebastian’s case. The last time I talked about Sebastian’s case, I didn’t have the actual court filings. And I do know, now, like I said, we’re going to focus on the sheriff’s office one, but it does kind of overlap with the DCS one.

We’re not going to read the whole filing. Other people have done that. While I understand Seth’s anger and while I understand that Seth might feel that he’s been sidelined, I think there probably are reasons for that. One of them is that Seth has been angry. He’s associated himself with some wrongands and an intelligence agency that well quite frankly in my opinion is a little bit of a laughingtock.

Now there is some good news in that that said lack of intelligence agency has now pulled out of Sebastian’s case. So on July 17th, they posted a long post on Facebook. I’m not going to read all this, but if you want to. For immediate and final release, a final statement on at night’s active effort to find Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers announcing the end of at night’s active private lack of intelligence effort.

Commission formation, prospective membership, whatever that means, announcements, updates, and publication dates remain to be determined because supposedly they are going to release a report and they’ve got a portal that law enforcement can access with all of their findings. Listen, we examine photographs, videos, recordings, communication, timelines, locations, vehicles, tips, sightings, public statements, private claims, contradictions, countless copies of material separated from its original source. Nearly 1

million collected items can accumulate around the disappearance of one child, while the only fact his father needs remains absent from every one of them. The public often saw the arguments surrounding Sebastian’s case. It saw interviews, theories, accusations, personalities, broadcasts, live streams, factions, and people becoming certain about things the surviving record could not establish.

The case, yeah, has uh has floundered. There’s a load of noise and if that night have at some point been genuine in their attempts to locate Sebastian, then they’ve become victims of that noise that no doubt has hampered law enforcement as well. They say here, “Stand behind law enforcement as they continue searching for Sebastian.

” Well, Seth doesn’t appear to be standing by law enforcement. Give investigators facts instead of theories, original information instead of repetition, and room to perform work that cannot responsibly be conducted in public. If you possess direct information about Sebastian, provide it to the Sar County Sheriff’s Office, the TBI, the FBI, or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Don’t give it to a creator. Do not place it in a comment section. Do not allow it to become another story passed between strangers until nobody remembers where it began. Give it to the people with the authority to act on it. At night is no longer accepting tapes. Well, [laughter] however much I slated that night in the past, that is very good advice.

Stand by law enforcement. That is something that Seth Rogers doesn’t appear to be doing. Let’s just take a little look at this filing. These are the factual allegations that they are making. History of abuse and vulnerability were known to law enforcement. This is where the overlap is between the DCS filing and this filing.

So the county sheriff’s office had direct knowledge allegedly of and involvement in Sebastian’s situation through its participation in the DCS child protective investigative team. However, why would SA County Sheriff’s Office need that information to go out to find him? Why would that information be relevant in finding Sebastian? How would those two things intersect? And the only way those two things would intersect is if there was evidence of foul play and evidence that Sebastian had been murdered.

And there is no evidence at all that Katie or Chris had anything to do with murdering Sebastian. If Sebastian has been murdered, it didn’t happen in that house. How do we know that? Because that house was searched numerous times. Now, one of the things that Seth highlighted in this documentation is that the house wasn’t shut down as a crime scene.

That isn’t routinely done in missing person cases, especially when it’s a vulnerable child. They need all their bodies to get out there searching because the vast majority of children who go missing are found. They’ve wandered off. They’ve got themselves into trouble. Some come home on their own. But children as vulnerable as Sebastian, who might be lost and might not be able to make it home, well, they need to be found.

If there’s no obvious reason to suspect that Sebastian had been murdered in that home, there was no reason to shut it down as a crime scene. That said, cadaavver dogs went through that house. It was searched. And this thing about the surveillance cameras has confused me because Katie and Chris said, they said this on Nancy Grace, that there was no cameras at the house at the time Sebastian disappeared.

They had cameras installed later. It just says here, “Sar County Sheriff’s Office failed to investigate why the surveillance cameras at the Profoot home were reportedly not working on the day of Sebastian’s disappearance, which implies that something happened to Sebastian in that home. But we know from the FBI, Katie’s dash cam showed them coming home, and Katie did not leave.

Katie did not leave till the following morning when she went out searching for Sebastian. Did she just nip out to hide her body? Come on now. You’ve already called the cops. The cops are on the way and you are out there hiding a body. That doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t make sense. And this thing here, I I don’t know what to tell you about this abandonment of the investigation.

After approximately one week, the sheriff’s office scale back its physical search for Sebastian, which sadly is normal. Sometimes when a search stops, you know, two, three days in, you kind of think, ah, they have a different investigative lead. There’s a potential for foul play here.

that happened with uh Quint and Simon. Like they only searched for maybe a date. They realized that Leilani was lying. They investigated from a different angle. And well, Leilani is now in uh prison for the rest of her life for murdering Quinton. And recently we’ve had the Ja Harris case out of South Carolina. Same. There was a massive search for Jaer in the first few days and then that all stopped and the parents were arrested because under questioning they’d cracked and then the search was locating Ja’s remains which they did find some remains and what a

horrendous case that became. That’s currently in the beginning stages of the court case against Jamaria Harris and Michel Herring. But back to Sebastian. After approximately one week, the sheriff’s office scaled back its physical search for Sebastian and shifted to what it characterized as the investigative side.

Only one detective, Detective Brandon Carter, was assigned to the case. I don’t know if we know that 100% that only one person from the sheriff’s office was assigned to the case, but that doesn’t mean that just one detective was involved in the case because we’ve also got the TBI and the FBI. So, okay, the sheriff’s office might have had one point of contact, Brandon Carter, but it doesn’t mean to say that that’s all the investigation that was going on.

Even if the sheriff’s office was the lead agency, it doesn’t mean to say that the TBI and the FBI weren’t doing anything because remember the main tip line is 1800 TBI find. So the main tip generation and collection was actually coming in through the TBI, but there’s no mention of the TBI. He’s not suing the TBI.

He’s got personal beef against the sheriff’s office. This is also not true. The sheriff’s office held a singular press conference in or around April 3rd. No public updates were provided. No reward was offered. No additional resources were deployed. Law enforcement stopped searching for Sebastian. Untrue. There was, I think, four press conferences.

There was the press conference with Eric Kraock when he was the chief deputy. So he wasn’t even the sheriff when Sebastian went missing with Chem Widner from the Sar County MS. They held a press conference like press briefing on the 27th of February. There was one was either the 28th or 29th of February. It’s 2024 was a leap year and that was really informative.

They showed the maps. It it was really good. That press conference was was well done. Ken Wina did an interview a weekend and then they did a very brief press briefing when they scale back the search and then they had the press conference that was well according to this April the 3. I don’t have the exact date but that was with Sly County Sheriff’s Office and the TBI.

So, the TBI have only spoken once about this case, even though they do have written information and a Q&A thing on their TBI newsroom. Link in the description. So, this looks to me like a vendetta against the sheriff’s office. Rogers attempted to stay in contact with Carter and to provide information from the public, including tips he received through his own outreach efforts.

Carter failed to follow up on the tips Rogers provided. How does he know that? Whether that’s true or not, I don’t know. One such important tip that upon information and belief was not pursued came from one of the nurses that care for Sebastian. Oh, that cancelled an appointment. Well, if you’ve never cancelled a medical appointment in your life, well, good for you.

You know, sometimes you make an appointment, things come up and you have to cancel it. Or you make an appointment and then you’re better, so you cancel it. I I don’t understand why that is in any way, shape, or form suspicious. Why the nurse even called that in, I have no idea. Approximately 18 months before the date of this complaint, Carter suggested meeting with Rogers.

Rogers agreed and proposed meeting the following week. Carter never responded. No further communication from the sheriff’s office has been received by Rogers. The TBI also told Rogers they would call back but never did. Is it maybe to do with the fact that he is a loose cannon? Isn’t it maybe the fact that he’s going to come out on social media and blur stuff out? the people that he’s associated with like at night Dog the bounty hunter they’ve made a little you know bit of a force of the case at some points maybe that’s the

reason why law enforcement have not spoken to him the communication blackout as he puts it during which a disabled child remain missing and unaccounted for is in itself an act of deliberate indifference law enforcement held a single press conference That’s untrue. Made no requests for FBI involvement. Untrue.

It’s the FBI who have done the digital forensic stuff. It’s the FBI and with the help of the Secret Service who have analyzed vehicles in the area. That is completely untrue. They made no request for FBI involvement. We know that the card team was there in the first week. The FBI offered a $15,000 reward which is still active.

The FBI have information about Sebastian on their website and everything that that is completely untrue. Deployed no advanced forensics. Well, what advanced forensics will be needed? Well, digital forensics that has been done. The FBI did experiments to find out whether the cameras in the local vicinity could pick up someone know when it’s dark.

Completely untrue. Worse yet, law enforcement refused to accept leads from the public. Never going to refuse leads, but they’re not going to tell you what becomes of that information, are they? They have no obligation to keep anybody informed. They have no obligation to keep parents informed.

As long as they know they’re not suspects, they usually do, but they don’t have to. So, I think this is going to fall flat on its ass. Seth has been out talking. He’s done a live stream on his own channel. I’m going to play a clip from that in a moment. This is him yesterday on Jennifer Coffundafer’s channel, the ex FBI agent. She’s all over this case.

She’s a very strong Seth supporter. So, let’s listen to a minute or so of this. >> I don’t how I don’t understand how any parents any parent can have a missing child and not and not be trying to find him and trying to bring awareness to the situation that he’s missing. And then through the process, if you don’t if you see things that are wrong and you don’t take the opportunity to try to get it fixed, how much love do you have for your children? >> I think the lawsuit is great for putting it out there issues that have been of

such great concern to all of us. In other words, how did uh the Department of Child Services, how was that handled uh in terms of his case? the fact that at least my understanding is Seth never uh received notifications he should have received. Uh also regarding what really happened at the sheriff’s office, how was the case just dropped? Seemingly >> the case has not been dropped.

As an ex FBI agent, she should know that investigations go on behind the scenes and they protect the integrity of the investigation for very good reasons. They’re under no obligation to talk to anybody at all. The public, the parents, nobody. They’re under no obligation. I understand cess pain. I do. I really do. This lawsuit, yeah, it’s got Sebastian’s name out there. It’s made the news.

So, in raising awareness, cool. Now, Jennifer did ask whether in part this was to get Discovery, which I said when I did my live stream the other day. Seth has just put it all in the hands of his attorneys. He hasn’t even seen the filings. Okay. Weird. >> You know, it’s one of these cases that you just hope that the federal side of it pushing some levers uh that a judge will approve it to move forward.

I have seen cases like this, I’m just going to say it, that unfortunately get dropped by the judge and that also can be extremely disappointing. it will get dropped by the judge because the bar is really high and I don’t think this will ever ever get to trial. Now, Nick Baris from News Channel 5 Nashville got some comment from an attorney.

I just want to read this to you. This is uh this is from a couple of days ago. The father of missing Sebastian Rogers files lawsuits. This is the latest twist in the sad case of the missing teen so many have closely followed. Seth Rogers, the father of Sebastian, accuses Tennessee child welfare officials and SA County authorities of failing his son.

Now, the DCS or the sheriff’s office have commented because of pending litigation. So, for context, what are the chances for success of these lawsuits? I spoke with noted Nashville constitutional attorney David Rabin. He is not involved in the case but is aware of the details. Rabin tells me in situations like this a government entity is not accountable.

Rabin says he does not know whether the government entities did a good job or not. The law does not allow for recovery for the government not doing a good enough job. Rabin says he believes the lawsuits will be summarily dismissed and will never get to trial. Sebastian remains missing. The Amber Alert is still active and the FBI is offering up to $50,000 for information.

Tips can be submitted by calling 1800 TBI FIND. The law does not allow for recovery for the government not doing a good enough job. The bar is so so so so high and I I really do think these cases will be dismissed by the judge. I also want to play a little bit of this. This was on Seth’s own channel again from a day or two back and he’s got Bullon Betty on the panel and he’s got a bunch of other people that I I don’t know who they are.

But let’s listen to a minute of this because this is interesting. >> So, in other words, they don’t they didn’t want to bring anybody in to help with the criminal side. Is that what I’m hearing? Or is that >> and the case? Yeah, that that sounds right. And the case losing its momentum as soon as they they stopped the ground search. But but they had thousands.

The problem I’m having here is they they had thousands of leads allegedly. And you would think that after the ground search they would be following these leads. Those leads should have produced even if it was a a like a left field type of issue. It should have produced at least one searchable area. >> Well, how do we know that they haven’t searched other places? How do we know what law enforcement have been doing and just not publicizing it? >> And they’ve never searched again.

It’s and they’ve never talked about the case publicly again in and in two years. >> I can criticize law enforcement for some of the things that they failed to do in this case and I have. But what you can’t say is that the case was dropped or that things haven’t been followed up on because we are not privy to the things that law enforcement have been doing.

We have absolutely no right to know any of that. You can shout it from the rooftops that you want updates and this and that, but it’s not true that they haven’t spoken publicly since last press conference they did. Nick Baris from News Channel 5 Nashville. Sheriff Eric Kraock has done an interview with him few months ago. It was all about the green hoodie person that at night was pointing the finger at.

the sheriff’s office made a statement. So that’s not true that they’ve not spoken publicly. We we got to be very precise with our wording here. You know, this is now in the hands of the federal courts. We have to be very specific with our wording here. That is not true. >> Kind of the problem I I think that I have.

I’m I’m absolutely confident that has a lot to do with what frustrates Seth about this. Um >> I mean, they kept the construction going. They kept everything. I mean, it’s like, you know, nothing, >> you know, they acted like he was a Yeah, they acted like he was a 5-year-old with autism looking in ponds, you know, that were just the the whole search was just I don’t know.

It was just to see the new construction continuously going. >> Well, that I absolutely agree with to see that new construction continuously going. They did not shut that construction site down even for an hour. I agree with her. Absolutely. That is my main problem with law enforcement that that construction site. Yes, it was searched like they had search dogs on there.

They searched through some of the halfbuilt houses, but there were so many hazards on that construction site. and that continual work that went on when the search dogs were out there. The the the [sighs and gasps] amount of scent and the amount of evidence that would have been lost is insurmountable. I just can’t wrap my head around why that construction site was allowed to carry on when all indication was that Sebastian headed that way.

I that that is my main problem with this. But searching ponds. [laughter] People die in ponds that are older than age five. That’s a stupid thing to say. You can drown in shallow water. And Max, the German Shepherd from Sy County Sheriff’s Office dove right into that pond. So, of course, they’re going to search it.

I mean, look, if a dog jumps into the pond and you don’t search it, well, honestly, that is gross negligence. That was searched, it was drained, it was walked, there was no stone left unturned when it came to searching bodies of water in that immediate vicinity because Sebastian loves water. That makes absolute sense. So whilst I absolutely agree that that construction site massive massive problem with not shutting that down even just while the search dogs were out there and just the amount of information that the evidence the the scent that

would have been lost that’s just bizarre to me. I’ve never understood that. But to say that they treated him like a little kid by searching ponds that’s just silly. I was >> Did they ever ask you I’m sorry you just brought up something. Um uh Jen, did they ever ask you about your son while you were there that that any time there like his behaviors? Uh even when they were starting to look for like in the ponds and stuff, did they ever ask you would he be in the pond or would he go toward the pond? >> No. They they they literally asked me

what his favorite song is. >> I mean, he’s 15 and they’re playing Eye of the Tiger like he’s like he’s a kid, you know, like he’s little little boy. It just that seemed weird to me. Well, that’s not weird. They’re doing it in Calgary for Parker right now, playing Disney songs. Seth has said himself that Sebastian has a younger mental age than 15.

He functions at in in some ways a 10year-old level. Seth has said this himself just for certain aspects. In other aspects, he’s really clever. But what they’re trying to do is draw a kid out who might be scared, hiding, thinks he’s in trouble. They’re trying to draw him out. They’re trying to, you know, force him to make a move to maybe just stand up or start singing or just something for them to know where he is.

And they played Eye of the Tiger and they kept playing Eye of the Tiger just to try to see if he would come out. That’s not a bad thing. That was a good thing. That was a clever thing to do. And that is something that they do with small children and neurody divergent children. So again, that is positive. But that construction site has worried me.

Now Chris and Katie, I’ve paid a private investigator, Steve Fischer, SF investigates. Even though Chris and Katie don’t make it known the things that they’ve done, they have done stuff behind the scenes. A few months ago, SF Investigates released this information. This is a report of an investigation that they did with a dog team. And let’s talk about the construction site.

Fisher requested an inspection of the active construction site immediately north of retention pond 3. Okay. The K9 team traversed the slope along a contour line with K97 searching both uphill and downhill. At the end of the drainage, a fence line was encountered. Approximately 20 m from the fence line. K97 exhibited a change in behavior, reducing her pace and tasting blades of grass, typical indicators for human remains canines when searching areas with low threshold order.

She was then directed to perform a detailed search between the slope and the fence line where several baseballs were observed. While her demeanor remained consistent, she continued to search. K97 alerted at two separate locations within 1 to 2 meters of each other along the slope. These locations were marked as sites one and two for the shift’s reagent soil test.

Afterwards, K97 was given a break and rest away from the search area. Upon returning to the area, K97 was deployed from a different direction traveling north to south. Okay. K97 showed a strong indication to enter the private property immediately west of the area of interest. Handler intervened preventing her from continuing onto private property.

Those properties are on Kellen Lane at the top end. So this is the area here. Those are the properties on Kelling Lane. shift reagent. So test samples were taken from the hill and the base of the hill next to the fence line. Soil samples were collected, processed and analyzed following the procedures for the shift’s reagent soil test.

So it’s measuring aldahhides in soil which are byproducts of tissue decomposition. When the reagent comes into contact with a sample containing aldahhides, it activates the dye, resulting in a characteristic magenta or pink coloration that indicates a positive reaction. While the shift test does not distinguish between human and animal decomposition, a positive result suggests the likelihood of a decomposition event.

When interpreted in conjunction with alerts from a human specific canine, the presence of alderahhide strengthens the suspicion that a human decomposition event may have occurred at the sampling site. However, several limitations affect the reliability of this method. All the hives may be present in soil due to unrelated sources such as environmental contamination, chemical residues or natural organic matter.

Additionally, the physical condition of the site presented complications. The sampling area was an active construction zone where soil had been repeatedly pushed, transported, mixed, and graded over time at varying depths, making it difficult to accurately isolate decomposition byproducts. So, these were negative, but remember all of the upheaval that has gone on in that area.

However, during post test cleanup, an unidentified white yellow waxy substance was discovered adearing to the interior of one of the test tubes during soil sample processing. The physical appearance of the material was consistent with adipacia, a wax-like byproduct of decomposition resulting from the fatty tissues basically breaking down.

Although its morphology was suggestive, no confirmatory test was performed on site and the substance could not be conclusively identified at the time of discovery. So we don’t know. My question is why is Seth not jumping up and down for further investigations to be done at a site where human remains detection dogs were present and indicated whilst Adipacia has been allegedly potentially found.

And why is his focus not on the lack of attention to that construction site which is obvious for us all to see? Is that because it doesn’t fit Seth’s narrative and because he knows that it’s Chris and Katie’s work and their money that has uh found these results? That’s an open question. Seth, I think, needs to be honest with himself.

And yes, law enforcement have failed, but the failure has been at the construction site. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. I’ll see you in the next video. Bye, GUYS. OKAY, GUYS. OH, NO.
